On this trip you will have the boat for the exclusive use of your group from 1-25 persons.

WhenWe operate throughout the year except on bad weather days. We work with the tides of the ocean and the weather so operational times will change accordingly. We confirm departure times the day before we go to sea.

WhereNo 1 Swart street, Kleinbaai, Gansbaai. (The area is also known as Van Dyks baai). The time slot selected is a nominal time, please contact Shark Diving Unlimited for the exact time as it will change according to tide and sea conditions.

WeatherOur excursions are completely dependent on sea and weather conditions. It is essential to make contact 24 hours before your trip so that times can be confirmed.

What to WearIt can be cold at sea, so some warm outer wear is recommended. It is best to layer clothes so that one can change according to the weather. Bring your bathing costume if you are going to dive. Wear Light comfortable foot wear (sneakers or action foot wear)

Things to BringSun cream/block. Sunglasses, Bathing Costume, Anti Sea Sick pills (if this is an issue).

Guests or SpectatorsMembers of the family or group that prefer not to go on the excursion are welcome to use our facilities at our dive base. There are grassy sea sides nearby where children can play, and nearby coffee shops and restaurants.

Seeing the greatest and one of the oldest animal species on the planet is truly a unique, awe-inspiring and a humbling experience. Most people arrive with fear and trepidation and leave with admiration and a newfound respect for these majestic animals.
Experience the thrill of being underwater and surrounded by sharks! Feel the exposure of free-diving while remaining completely safe inside the cage, or remain on the boat and see sharks in all its magnificence from the surface of the water.

Trips are weather dependent, and the boat trip lasts approximately 2-2:30 hours. Your meet up and launch time will be confirmed a day in advance of your trip. Meet the team for breakfast and your introductory briefing at the Cape Shark Adventures Crew House, whilst fruit and bottled water are packed on board Barracuda. Wetsuits, booties and masks are provided and there are life jackets and waterproof jackets on on board our boat. There will be hot showers available on return..

You DO NOT need to be a qualified diver to enter the cage as we use a simple breath-hold technique whilst in the cage. Children as young as 12 years old are also allowed to get into the cage.

Cape Shark Adventures is committed to showing you sharks in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We DO NOT offer any adrenaline rush trips and only use this opportunity to enable people to observe these magnificent animals for conservation-minded excursions.

Our videographer will make a video of your trip that will available immediately after your return to the crew house.

Traditional homemade vegetable soup and freshly baked bread are served after the trip. You will also have the change to pre view the video.

Meet up and launch times will be confirmed a day advance of your trip and alternative arrangements will be made in the event of bad weather forecast. Despite our excellent success rate sightings are not guaranteed.
